Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book for my wedding?

We recommend booking your wedding as soon as possible as the calendar fills up quickly.  Many dates in May and June tend to book 6 - 12 months in advance. 

Why do you only photograph Lutheran Weddings?

We are devout Christians and members of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.  Because of limited availability, we focus strictly on couples being married in the Lutheran Church. This allows us to stay true to our faith and only provide artistic photographic services for those weddings conducted under biblical authority.  We only provide commercial photographic services for weddings that are conducted by an ordained Lutheran minister. 

How much does it cost?

You have enough to worry about on your special day, so photography shouldn't be one of them.  We keep it simple and offer just two packages:  

- 4 hours of photography on the wedding day, $899.00

- 8 hours of photography on the wedding day, $1,200.00

What if we can't afford a professional photographer?

We believe every Christian couple should have quality photos of their special day.  If you are struggling financially, call us.  We may be able to greatly reduce the cost of your wedding photography if recommended by your church pastor.  

Do you offer engagement photos?

Yes, we will be happy to take your engagement photos.  This is included with your package.  

What is included in your wedding photography packages?

Our wedding photography packages are kept simple and affordable.  They include pre-wedding consultation, up to 8 hours of photography on the wedding day, edited high-resolution images, and you are provided all non-copyrighted images on a thumb drive.  For those wishing professional prints, photos of your choice can be uploaded to a professional photo lab and you can order prints directly from the lab.  The only additional upgrade is a photo album if you choose to have us make one for you.  

What about a wedding album?

The only upgrade to our packages is the option for a wedding album.  We offer a wide variety of albums, from a simple coffee table book style to elegant leather-bound heirloom albums.  Prices vary by type and number of photos. 

What kind of cameras do you use?

We use new, state of the art professional Nikon and Fujifilm high resolution digital cameras and high-speed lenses.   They capture 45 - 100 megapixels per image.  These cameras are equal to the medium and large format cameras of the film era.

"I paid over $4,000 for our photos taken at our destination wedding in the Caribbean by a supposed master photographer.  I cried when I got them because they were so bad and amateurish. I took the images to Jim and asked if he could fix them.  In about a week I received them back.  They were beautiful.  Jim is a Photoshop master.  He didn't even charge me as I think he felt so bad for me.  I wish I would have hired him to come to Aruba and taken the photos.
